PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Please upload a pdf file that includes the following information:

  • 300-word abstract with working title
  • detailed description of the work to be undertaken during the grant period, including a timeline for completion, possible outlets for publication (if applicable), and a statement of the project's importance to Hemingway studies.
  • working bibliography
  • itemized budget and explanation of how you will use the award
  • contact information for two professional references 

At the bottom of your application, quote, sign (electronic signatures are acceptable), and date the following statement:

“As a Lewis-Reynolds-Smith Founders Fellowship Scholar, I agree to submit to the chair of the Fellowship Committee an end-of-project report within six months of the termination of the award. I also agree to acknowledge this fellowship on any publication that results from the award.”

Please note US recipients of the grants will be required to submit their social security numbers for tax purposes.
