At the American Writers Museum on July 9th 2018, playwright Jim McGrath will talk with Nancy Sindelar (author of Influencing Hemingway) about Hemingway and stagecraft prior to the opening night of Pamplona at Goodman Theatre.

The Ritz Paris will auction off over 3,500 pieces of furniture and other interior décor objects, including stools that once adorned Bar Hemingway. Fundraising efforts are underway in Piggott, Arkansas, to revitalize a current mural by adding panels that will capture the city’s rich literary and cultural history. New sections of the mural will highlight Hemingway’s connection to the city. The project has secured financial support from the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and the Matilda and Karl Pfeiffer Museum.
As General Editor of the Hemingway Letters Project, Sandra Spanier has received the 2018 Faculty Scholar Medal for Outstanding Achievement at Penn State University. The feature-length documentary, “Young Hemingway & His Enduring Eden,” explores the writer’s upbringing in Michigan and its lasting impact on his life and literary work. The documentary was written and produced by George A. Colburn and includes interviews with Ernest H.
